The Hartman Envelope Filter was designed around the classic Mutron Envelope filters from the 70's, it was developed with Hartman Endorsee Mark Karan. The aim was to design a versatile Envelope Filter with all the classic sounds in a user friendly package and of course it had to be analog.

The Hartman Envelope Filter employs select, low-noise components for its signal path and an optically controlled state-variable filter for authentic timbre and response. A second foot switch permits change of filter sweep direction for on-the-fly access to a broad palette of classic filter sounds from funky chirps and saturated quacks to subtler flute-like attacks and horn-tones. An active Mix control blends filtered and unfiltered signal. Factory preset internal trim pots permit additional tuning of filter action.

Hartman Electronics are offering new creations of many classic effects pedals. These new Hartman pedals use ‘new-old stock’ components to accurately replicate the older generation sounds, some as direct clones, others as upgraded versions of the older effect. Hartman offers mainly fuzz and distortion pedals but also has a range of modulation effect to complete your pedal board.

We Welcome Part Exchange

We welcome part exchanges on items over £500. We realise that sometimes you need to “move something on” to get your new guitar. We give fair prices and once agreed we stick to them. The only thing we ask is that you accurately describe your guitar. We have plenty of happy customers from our part exchange scheme.

How it works – If you are local, you can simply call in. If you are not local we will assess your guitar and give you a valuation via phone/e-mail (we may ask for pictures). Once the price is agreed, we always stick to it, and your new guitar will be removed from the market so the deal can be concluded.

You can either send us your guitar, or we can use our courier to pick up for a small charge (UK only). Once the guitar is with us and any balance is paid we can dispatch your new guitar.
