About the Carl Martin Opto-Compressor Vintage Series Compressor

The Carl Martin Opto-Compressor is an Old-School compressor that is based on top-quality studio compressors. For the first time guitarists can have an optical-compressor designed just for them on their pedal board. The Carl Martin Opto-Compressor has 4 easy to use controls giving you total control of the attack and squeeze of the compression

What is an Optical Compressor ?

An optical compressor performs gain reduction control via a light source into a photo sensitive cell... as the light source gets brighter, the photo sensitive cell sends a signal to reduce dynamic range, or what becomes a compressed signal

Carl Martin Effects are all designed in Denmark and used by some of the most respected Musicians gigging today. Endorsee's include Pete Thorn, Johnny Marr, Brian Ray, Andy Timmons and Joe Bonamassa.

The Carl Martin Pro Range includes Overdrive Pedals, Such as the Pelxi Drive and AC Drive and Modulation Pedals such as the  Chorus & Tremovibe. The new Vintage Series are now available in a compact chassis at a cost-effective price.

We Welcome Part Exchange

We welcome part exchanges on items over £500. We realise that sometimes you need to “move something on” to get your new guitar. We give fair prices and once agreed we stick to them. The only thing we ask is that you accurately describe your guitar. We have plenty of happy customers from our part exchange scheme.

How it works – If you are local, you can simply call in. If you are not local we will assess your guitar and give you a valuation via phone/e-mail (we may ask for pictures). Once the price is agreed, we always stick to it, and your new guitar will be removed from the market so the deal can be concluded.

You can either send us your guitar, or we can use our courier to pick up for a small charge (UK only). Once the guitar is with us and any balance is paid we can dispatch your new guitar.
