This rare 1979 Fender Stratocaster in Porsche Silver was built to commemorate 25 years of Fender Guitars, it is in very good condition with only minor signs of ageing to the silver finish. It includes the original hard case, certificate & manual.
Featuring a Maple neck bolted to an Ash body, this Strat sounds and feels like a great Fender guitar. Three single-coil pickups provide all the twang you'd expect, and the middle positions give that great Strat quack. A four-bolt neck plate is engraved with "1954-1979", commemorating the then 25 years of the Stratocaster. The Sperzel tuners are original, and are a significant improvement on the then standard "F" stamped factory standards. The Porsche Silver paint job shows some subtle signs of aging as one would expect from a nearly 40 year old guitar, including some players wear throughout, but otherwise this instrument is in overall very good vintage condition.
We Welcome Part Exchange
We welcome part exchanges on items over £500. We realise that sometimes you need to “move something on” to get your new guitar. We give fair prices and once agreed we stick to them. The only thing we ask is that you accurately describe your guitar. We have plenty of happy customers from our part exchange scheme.
How it works – If you are local, you can simply call in. If you are not local we will assess your guitar and give you a valuation via phone/e-mail (we may ask for pictures). Once the price is agreed, we always stick to it, and your new guitar will be removed from the market so the deal can be concluded.
You can either send us your guitar, or we can use our courier to pick up for a small charge (UK only). Once the guitar is with us and any balance is paid we can dispatch your new guitar.
