About

You are looking at a 1972 Gibson ES-325 in very good overall condition. Dating from the first year of production at the Kalamazoo factory, the guitar has no major dinks or marks to the finish and some checking/ crazing to the headstock. The original trapeze tailpiece was removed some years ago and a Gibson Stop Bar Tailpiece fitted, which improves the sustain when compared to an unmodified example; there is a small amount of cracking to the top around one of the pillars, which does not affect the stability of the hardware.

Sadly the Gibson ES-325 didn't gain popularity until after it was discontinued in 1979. Recently it became the preferred axe of choice for King of Leon and other popular acts.

It features a slimmer neck than your typical 335, a single F-hole, Gibson humbuckers, and a hard case.

Gibson Guitars are known throughout the world for their high end guitars of which the most famous would be the ‘Les Paul’. Gibson guitars get better with age and it is these vintage and second hand guitars that we have here at Toneworld. These mature Gibson guitars are of excellent quality, great sounding and have much more playing life to offer.

We Welcome Part Exchange

We welcome part exchanges on items over £500. We realise that sometimes you need to “move something on” to get your new guitar. We give fair prices and once agreed we stick to them. The only thing we ask is that you accurately describe your guitar. We have plenty of happy customers from our part exchange scheme.

How it works – If you are local, you can simply call in. If you are not local we will assess your guitar and give you a valuation via phone/e-mail (we may ask for pictures). Once the price is agreed, we always stick to it, and your new guitar will be removed from the market so the deal can be concluded.

You can either send us your guitar, or we can use our courier to pick up for a small charge (UK only). Once the guitar is with us and any balance is paid we can dispatch your new guitar.
