This Gibson LP Special DC is used, but in very good condition; only thing of note is that there are a couple of very small dents in the lacquer on the back of the guitar.

Gibson; Gibson’s drive to pioneer a broad selection of guitars designed to meet the ever-growing demand for solid body electrics came full circle with the introduction of the double cutaway Les Paul Special in 1959. The model was actually introduced in late 1958, but only 958 units were manufactured that year. Its popularity, however, was almost immediate and production doubled to 1,821 units in 1959, making the Les Paul Special double cutaway Gibson’s third most popular model behind the Les Paul Junior and ES-125T.

  • TV White finish
  • Solid mahogany body
  • 1-piece mahogany neck with long tenon
  • 1959 rounded neck profile
  • P-90 single-coil pickups
  • CTS pots and bumble bee capacitors
  • Holly headstock veneer

Gibson Guitars are known throughout the world for their high end guitars of which the most famous would be the ‘Les Paul’. Gibson guitars get better with age and it is these vintage and second hand guitars that we have here at Toneworld. These mature Gibson guitars are of excellent quality, great sounding and have much more playing life to offer.

We Welcome Part Exchange

We welcome part exchanges on items over £500. We realise that sometimes you need to “move something on” to get your new guitar. We give fair prices and once agreed we stick to them. The only thing we ask is that you accurately describe your guitar. We have plenty of happy customers from our part exchange scheme.

How it works – If you are local, you can simply call in. If you are not local we will assess your guitar and give you a valuation via phone/e-mail (we may ask for pictures). Once the price is agreed, we always stick to it, and your new guitar will be removed from the market so the deal can be concluded.

You can either send us your guitar, or we can use our courier to pick up for a small charge (UK only). Once the guitar is with us and any balance is paid we can dispatch your new guitar.
