Fender’s Classic Series is a wide range of guitars built in Mexico in tribute to certain key periods of Fender’s history: the guitars that made history. More exclusive than standard ranges but more affordable than US built guitars, Fender Classics occupy a special place in the heart of many guitar players coming through the ranks from intermediates to professionals looking for great value vintage-themed instruments.

The early Strats of the 50s were all Sunburst unless you wanted to order a custom colour, in which case the guitars were sprayed with Dupont car spray colours normally used on Hot Rods of the era. One such colour is the incredible Surf Green on display here. It's a beauty.

Otherwise you get some great vintage details too: a v-neck with curved 7.25" radius fretboard, a single ply pickguard and the correct low powered, chimey bell-like pickups that created those timeless pop, surf and rock 'n' roll sounds form the Golden Age.
This guitar epitomizes the vibe of the ’50s! The colour selection alone—Surf Green, Daphne Blue and Dakota Red—takes you back to the era of diners, Ike and cars with fins.

With a maple fingerboard, tinted neck, single-ply pickguard and aged plastic parts, the ’50s Stratocaster guitar is awesomely retro, and the three single-coil pickups and staggered Alnico magnet pole pieces give you the look and the sound.

We Welcome Part Exchange

We welcome part exchanges on items over £500. We realise that sometimes you need to “move something on” to get your new guitar. We give fair prices and once agreed we stick to them. The only thing we ask is that you accurately describe your guitar. We have plenty of happy customers from our part exchange scheme.

How it works – If you are local, you can simply call in. If you are not local we will assess your guitar and give you a valuation via phone/e-mail (we may ask for pictures). Once the price is agreed, we always stick to it, and your new guitar will be removed from the market so the deal can be concluded.

You can either send us your guitar, or we can use our courier to pick up for a small charge (UK only). Once the guitar is with us and any balance is paid we can dispatch your new guitar.
